If you decide to visit one destination only and book a resort, that is good in a way as you do not have to make many arrangements but then you obviously miss out on seeing different places and get to see only one.
If you decide to go on a tour, you need to decide upon an itinerary, then, you have to arrange for travel tickets to each of the places, followed by hotel bookings. At each destination, you obviously have to go together at all places.
So if you wish to go the disco at the night while your little kids would just want to play games at a video parlour, you have to choose on any one of the two. Either you or your kids are bound to feel a bit disappointed as it wouldn’t be wise at all to leave the kids at a video parlour while you dance away in a disco in a city which is unknown and new to you.
Now, let us see how it would be if you went on a family cruise for a vacation. You get to choose from a long list of itineraries, cruises and different packages to fit each size of pocket. Having zeroed upon one itinerary and cruise, you have to simply either directly book tickets with the cruise agency or ask the travel agent to do so.
Your accommodation on the cruise, dining (drinks are generally not included in it), sightseeing and activities onboard are all included in the package. You will be visiting a number of new destinations and going on offshore excursions organized by the cruise agency. You can choose an itinerary that interests you.
You can pick on historical places, natural and scenic beauties or places where there is wild life and nature, or if you are interested in water sports, you can choose itineraries where you can go parasailing and water rafting on one of the offshore excursions.

Once you are on your cruise and ready to sail, gear yourself up for one of the most joyous experiences of your life.
During the day, when you are at sea, the adults can go to the spa for a sauna bath, hit the gym for some exercises, watch movies in the theatre, stroll around the deck with their spouse, attend dance lessons, go for lectures on topics ranging from social to political to economics and a wide range of other entertainment options.
The kids can have a ball of a time in activities that are specially organized for them. There are a lot of sports to choose from, games at the video parlour, music lessons, craft lessons, water parks and a host of other activities. While the kids are taken care of by the youth counsellors aboard the ship, the adults can do what they like best. In case you have toddlers, certain cruises offer qualified and trained babysitters who can be engaged at an additional fee.
If your grandparents are also with you, for them, stretching on the deck chairs and enjoying the waters flowing by, reading books at the library or having a sauna bath would be satisfying and refreshing. Or they can just be near the kids and watch everyone zooming around and that, in itself would give them joy.
During offshore excursions, you can choose to go on pre-organized bus tours or venture on your own. If you move around in the market, you’ll find a lot of things that are specially known for those places. You can pick such things and others that you can gift to your relatives and friends on return.
During dining times, the entire family can dine together in a traditional manner. If the kids are interested in pizzas, burgers and pasta, they can visit the casual buffets while the adults can enjoy the various courses served in the traditional dining room.
There are a variety of entertainment options for the night. Live comic acts, music, dancing at the disco or ballroom dancing, gambling at the casino, having drinks at the bar lounges while the kids can go off to the kids’ zone and play or hit the bed after a hectic and active day.
