Carnival to pay agents commission on future sales

Carnival Corporation

Carnival Cruise Line has announced that is to pay commission on future cruise credits from July 10, echoing an announcement made in the US.

“Our team is always listening and looking for ways to offer the best sales and service support we can to travel agents and this commission enhancement is a reflection of that goal,” said Adolfo Perez, Carnival’s vice president of sales & trade marketing. “We value the hard work travel agents put into booking their clients, which is why we’ve increased the commission for these types of bookings.”

The new commission structure works by calculating the value of the “cruise prior to the application of the future cruise credit,” according to a company statement.

Previously, the line calculated commission after the future cruise credit was applied.
